DescriptionIn the 1940s, artist Don David was living in Southern California and was producing soft and sensitive watercolor paintings of California scenes. At the time, he developed a process that enabled him to have an exceptional amount of control over the wet-into-wet style of watercolor painting, where the painter pre-soaks areas of the paper before he paints, rather than painting onto dry paper.
