DescriptionMany of John Bohnenberger's watercolors were painted on location near his home in the San Gabriel Valley. Although it is not noted, it is believed that this place is in highland Park just a few miles from Pasadena. Bohnenberger frequently went to that area to find subject matter for his California Scene Paintings. It is painted in the classic California Style of watercolor painting, with bold direct brush strokes, a creative use of the white paper showing through to define sunshine highlights and formatted on a large sheet of paper.
