Description"Every aspect of the painting symbolizes Pam's life: the tiara, crafted from wire by her artist/model boyfriend, and the simple polyester dress embellished with rhinestones, boasts an off-shoulder design. The combination of the off-shoulder dress and the revealed ankle provides a striking contrast to the modesty characteristic of the Sargent era when he painted Madam X. Furthermore, Pam's identity as a gypsy and crystal ball gazer is represented by the crystal ball perched atop the smaller candlestick."
