DescriptionJacumba is a small community in Southern California located about 75 miles east of San Diego and about 30 miles north of the Mexican border. In the 1920's and 1930's the Hot Springs Resort in this community drew Hollywood celebrities and health seekers from all over California. Gradually the town was passed by when Highway 8 missed it by a few miles and it has become a sleepy residential community. The airport that is now unattended is primarily used by people launching non-motorized glider planes. This painting depicts a scene of a building on the edge of the airport. On View
