BiographyJonathan Owen M. A. ( R.C.A. ) is known internationally for his paintings and prints and has been exhibiting professionally for over 40 years. Jonathan enjoys working in many painting and printmaking techniques, specializing in watercoolers, oils, silkscreens, etchings and reproductions. His work is figurative and narrative with an ironic juxtaposition of elements of color, light and images from the United States, Wales, the countryside and the city. Jonathan emigrated to California in 1979, where he met his wife, Sherry, who also is a well known watercolorist. He exhibited for 14 years at the annual Laguna Festival of Arts and set up Dragon Press, his print workshop, in Laguna Canyon and Santa Monica. He has work in many public and private collections in both countries and has won many awards. In 1995, Jonathan returned to the U.K. with his family, to be back home in Wales. He now lives and works in Laugharne, Wales.
