Albert M. Haffenden
Albert M. Haffenden was born in Oregon, moved to California at two years of age where he later met and married Dorothy Griffin. He then moved to Pittsburgh in 1972 where he remained until his death. He studied at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and was a retiree of Rockwell International, where he had been the art director. Mr. Haffenden was an officer in the United States Air Force during WWII. He spent over a year in a German prison camp. He was a member of MENSA and an accomplished artist and woodworker. He was an avid music lover and was a great believer in physical fitness.
At age 86, Albert, of Upper St. Clair, passed away on October 12, 2007 in Veteran's Hospital in Aspinwall after a short illness. Husband of the late Dorothy M. Haffenden, survivors include daughter Patricia (Roger) Dupuy of Libourne, France; son Christopher (Pricilla) Haffenden of Mar Vista, CA; daughter Kathy Rae Haffenden of Bridgeville, PA; daughter Sherry (Eric) Behrend of Canoga Park, CA; son Edward (Amanda) Haffenden of Scott Twp., PA; and six grandchildren.
