DescriptionA little fun, a little surreal – and a whole lot of Vitamin A. Laguna Beach artist Scott Moore ventures into surrealistic realms in his works, often incorporating varying scales of dimension within the same painting. His unique perspective comes from childhood experiences, with many of his paintings containing objects from his collections of toys and objects from the 1950s and 1960s.Here, a farm stand topped by a giant peeler vends carrots by the roadside, sited alongside a veritable forest of giant carrots. Lured by all the orange goodness, a herd of oversized tin wind-up toy bunnies arrives on the scene, to the bemusement of the farmer. “Extra Large Carrots,” indeed.
