DescriptionArtist’s Statement: The painting came about when my husband passed in 2018 and I wanted to talk about death and rebirth. I was going through a lot of pain and through this painting I was able to release my pain and embrace my new life. The dove on her back represents flight and new beginnings and the dove lying on the floor is the loss I was feeling and death.
