DescriptionRalph Baker was a San Francisco Bay area artist that did both commercial art and fine art paintings in the 1930 to 1970 era. He often chose to paint on location along Highway 49 and eventually moved to a home on the outskirts of Sonora. There was a creek that ran very close to where he lived and it became a constant source of inspiration for his art. Gordon McClelland
