Beverly Bruntz

Beverly Bruntz is a contemporary painter, working in Kentucky. After graduating with a

Masters of Art from California State University, Fullerton in 1996, Beverly worked for several

years in commercial art. Feeling the need to pick up the paint brush again, she began exploring

the fine art scene in southern California. She started taking her paints outdoors and was hooked

on painting directly from life. She developed her painting skills while working a full time job in

graphic design. In 2009 Beverly relocated from Yorba Linda, CA to the bluegrass region in her

home state of Kentucky and fell in love again with the beauty of the area.

Her approach is characterized by a personal connection to nature. Being in awe of the one who

created it all. She explores her work by combining realism with elements of fancy and

abstraction. Sometimes the focus is the landscape and at other times she’s drawn to the

creatures in the landscape. Created through delicate drawings and tactile textures. Her work is

at once nostalgic and current. Somewhere between the fantasies of youth and the scientist

documenting native species.

Beverly's work is in many private and corporate collections nationwide including the 21c

Collection.
