DescriptionCarl Beetz was known for producing figurative works. He was a drawing teacher in San Francisco and derived most of his subject matter from scenes he witnessed in Los Angeles and San Francisco. For this image, Beetz drew directly on a limestone plate. A professional lithographer actually printed the edition.
