DescriptionThis photo was part of a series for the LA Times Home Section magazine depicting the arts and architecture of Southern California. This scene is at the historic Dory Fleet at the Newport Pier where Phil's family spent summers at 36th Street next to the Red Car tracks. The painting incorporates one of his Spear Fisher Women in a dory with the catch of the day and Phil standing in his typical garb in front of a dory with another fisherman's boat and umbrella in the background.
