DescriptionHugh Duncan was born in Glendale and studied at both the Art Center School and Chouinard Institute in Los Angeles, working with such teachers as Ralph Hulett, Charles Payzant and Rex Brandt. He is best known for his marine paintings of sailboats and other craft, and was a sailing enthusiast for most of his life. Here he depicts a view from above of the Crystal Cove cottages as they were in the 1960s, with the famous Shake Shack in the foreground, still looking much as it does today. On View
