DescriptionIn the 1940's Emil Kosa Jr. produced this oil painting, which is a copy of the upper half of a Diego Velazquez painting from the mid 1600s that is titled "Portrait of Maria Teresa of Austria." Kosa greatly admired the portraits of Velazquez and no doubt painted this piece out of respect for this artist's work. The painting hung in the Kosa home from the time it was painted until they passed away. At that time, it then became the property of the Fuller Foundation.
