DescriptionAfter World War II, Wayne LaCom experimented with many different modern approaches to art-making. He also helped to popularize the use of casein, an opaque, water-soluble paint named after the milk protein used to bind the pigment - it has an interesting chalky surface and matte finish. Newly-developed water-based acrylic paints largely replaced casein around the 1960s.
