DescriptionPhil Paradise spent quite a bit of time in Guatemala and other Central American countries during his lifetime. Some of the art he produced was created on location while he was traveling, but most were produced in his studio after he returned to California. His inspiration and references came from many sketches he made while traveling. He produced similar looking works from the 1930's until the 1980's.
