DescriptionDuring the 1930s and 1940s Miller was an established American Scene Painter known both on the East Coast where he grew up and began his art career and on the West Coast where he lived , painted and taught art. His most celebrated paintings of that era capture the essence of everyday life during the Great Depression years.
