DescriptionArtist Statement: "That is an early, probably 15 year old vineyard painting from one of my Central Coast trips...could be Ballard Canyon, or even up into San Luis Obispo county. I take a lot of photos, sketching, and Plein air painting when I can safely set up. So at the end of a trip I have a lot of information, which later gets broken down and included into finished work, as a result a specific place can be less apparent as I try to get the “feeling” of the area. Once, I tried to paint off the road back in the Santa Ynez wine country, but after a few cars going 80 miles per hour, whizzed by with happy wine tasters at the wheel, my side of the road painting days became more cautious."On View
