DescriptionStan Repp was an American illustrator and commercial artist whose books include "Super Chief: Train of the Stars." The 20th Century Limited was a famous American train that operated between New York City’s Grand Central Station and Chicago’s LaSalle Street Station, along the Water Level Route. It was the flagship train of the New York Central and was advertised as “the most famous train in the world.” The term “red-carpet service” came from the Limited’s policy of laying out a red carpet for its passengers to walk to the train on.
