The Hilbert Permanent Collection: Featuring Ralph Hulett
Ralph Hulett (1915-1974) was a very talented fine artist and an important figure in the field of Hollywood animation art. He exhibited his fine art watercolors as a member of the American Watercolor Society and California Water Color Society. In addition, he exhibited his oil paintings and watercolors in annual group exhibitions of American art in museums and privately owned art galleries. This exhibition features Ralph Hulett fine art oils and watercolors from the Mark and Janet Hilbert Collection.
For many years Hulett was also employed as an artist by the Walt Disney Studios animation department. He made artistic contributions to many cartoon shorts and the following Disney animated feature films: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, Fantasia, Dumbo, Bambi, The Three Caballeros, Make Mine Music, Song of the South, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians and The Jungle Book.
