By Popular Demand: Visitor Favorites from The Hilbert CollectionSaturday, May 28, 2022 - Saturday, December 3, 2022

Mark and Janet Hilbert have amassed an estimable collection of California art — including California Impressionist and Scene paintings, movie and animation art — that now numbers more than 3,000 works. Since the Hilbert Museum opened in 2016, visitors have expressed their love and appreciation for the pieces the museum has exhibited. This exhibition showcases 45 of the most popular, most talked-about (and “liked” on social media!) and most-requested artworks in the Hilbert Collection.

Artists whose works are on view in “BY POPULAR DEMAND” include Emil Kosa Jr., Ralph Hulett, Mary Blair, Eduoard Vysekal, Robert Frame, Ruth Peabody, Frank Romero, Eddie Barnes Jr., Rex Brandt, Millard Sheets, Barse Miller, Louise Nimmo, Eyvind Earle, Jack Laycox, Phil Dike, Patricia Chidlaw, Richard Bunkall, Henrietta Berk, Jessie Arms Botke, John Severson, Burr Singer, Irv Wyner and many more.
